Talkback Tuesday: Barriers to promotion (female academics)

  • groupof students talking

Our Talkback Tuesdays Programme is an integral part of our EDI work, and will help to fulfil our inclusion and diversity ambitions to build an inclusive university. Consisting of a series of facilitated focus groups, this programme provides a safe space for colleagues to express their opinions on what will make a difference to them, and their experience, at the University. To hear (and listen to) what colleagues have to say, is the first step to making change

This focus group is designed to explore women’s experiences of promotion within the University, and to build an understanding of the barriers relating to, but not limited to, gender, race, ethnicity and workload allocation. We are inviting female academics in Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor posts to participate in a one-hour focus group.
