Congratulations Fiona Bissett

Congratulations Back2Scienc Fellow Fiona Bissett!

Huge Congratulations to Fiona Bissett on successfully passing her viva for the degree of masters of Science by Research with the thesis “Computational study of the self-assembly of hypoxanthine in the gas-phase and on the Au(111) surface” written under the supervision of Dr Manuela Mura.

Fiona is one of the first University of Lincoln’s Back2Science Fellows to complete the program. The research programme aims to provide a sound platform for Fellows to kick-start their careers after an extended career break (of more than 5 years), and to provide opportunities for researchers to develop independent research projects, funding applications and research publications, or undertake further study.

Fiona after the viva with the panel. L-R: Prof Nicholas Blagden (viva chair), Dr Gilberto Teobaldi (external examiner, University of Liverpool), and Prof Waqar Ahmed (internal examiner).
